The campground was amazing and we had breakfast with a view. We packed up and left for our next destination. Again the weather perfect, clear skies and great views.

Today was mostly unpaved road. We had some tricky climbs and a water crossing. I decided to take of my bike shoes and wade through in flip flops. good call. Again, the scenery was stunning!

We stopped for lunch in a town called Radium. I say town but there we’re no services there. There was a a campground but no running water and it was right on the Colorado River. We’d filtered water earlier from a flowing creek so we had enough for the day.

Wasn’t expecting to see this!

The morning ride had some technical downhills and our lunch spot was at the bottom of several hills. This meant our afternoon was going to be climbing out of it and it certainly was. The longest climb was 4.3 miles and about 1200ft ascent. At the top we were at 8500ft.

It was mostly downhill from here to our destination. Todays ride was 42 miles and 3700ft climbing. The cabin was great, it had a shower and running water! Time for a hearty meal and a couple of beers at the Grand Ild West!
