Day 14 Rest Day In Pagosa Springs

What a very lazy day! Not much to tell you really.

On the way to breakfast we watched a couple of hot air balloons launch. Nice morning for it.

We had breakfast at the Colorado Cafe and then had a stroll to Walmart. I’d never been to a Walmart before today. It’s what I imagined, sold everything at cheap prices. I bought a Stars and Stripes buff for July 4th for less than $4!

Then, after a rest, I walked to another supermarket to get some food for the remainder of the trip. I have a surprise in store for tomorrow’s blog when I tell you what I bought for my mid ride lunch!

The afternoon’s entertainment was a golf tournament which, despite getting a hole in one on the 7th, I lost handsomely.

We had pizza for dinner at Rosie’s Pizzeria and I’ve eaten far too much. It had been suggested that I’d lose weight on this trip but I think I’m going to go home heavier than when I left. I’m a big fan of the motto “you don’t know where your next meal’s coming from” but I haven’t had to look too far to find one.

So that’s it for today. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road tomorrow as we cross the state line and head to Chama, New Mexico.
